LIMITED WARRANTY CONTRACT

A.   Import Engine Supply, Inc. warrants all new/used engines sold with this signed and dated contract as follows:

      1.   Passenger car and light truck (for personal and private use only).

            a.    Used Engine .......................................................................    365 days or 12,000 miles

            b.    Rebuilt Long Block ….............. (whichever comes first) …....…..    365 days or 12,000 miles

            c.    Diesel Engine …………………………………………….....…………….  30 days

            d.   Rotary Engine ………………………………………….....………………   30 days

            e.    Industrial & Commercial Engines ……………………………….. 30 days

      2.   Marine, high performance, and propane conversion engines (High performance engines are those increased horsepower

            resulting from alteration to cubic inch displacement, camshafts, carburetion, or exhaust system, and those produced by

            automobile manufactures).  These engines are purchased “as-is” and no warranty, express or implied, including no

            warranty of merchant ability or fitness for a particular purpose.

      3.   Warranty upgrade engine only.

            a.    Grade 1 ………………………….. (whichever comes first) …………… 2 years or 24,000 miles

            b.    Grade 2 ………………………….. (whichever comes first) …………… 5 years or 50,000 miles

B.   Items covered under this contract:

      1.   All internal engine parts including and limited to the following:

            a.    Crankshaft, Connecting Rods, Bearings (rod, main, & cam), Pistons, Rings, Cylinder Block, Camshaft, Camshaft

                   Followers, Valves, Valve Guides, Valve Stem Seals, Cylinder Head, Timing Chain, & Oil Pump.

            b.    Head Gaskets are covered for 30 days.

 C.  Items not covered by this contract:

      1.   Incidental or coincidental damages such as but not limited to: Hotel/Motel charges, car/truck rental, losses due to down time,

             towing charges, freight charges.

      2.   Any and all fluids including but not limited to: Oil, Antifreeze, ATF, Gear lube, leaks, and Filters.

      3.   Any loss or damage caused from over heating or lack of lubrications.

      4.   Oil consumption of less than one quart per 1000 miles.

      5.   Any and all external parts including and not limited to:

            a.   Intake Manifold, Exhaust  Manifold, Valve Cover, Timing Covers, Timing Belts, Pulleys, Water Pump, Oil Pan, Flywheel,

                  Carburetor, Fuel Injectors, Emission Controls, Sensors, Controls & their Gaskets.

            b.   Tune-up parts including adjustments.

            c.   Crankshaft thrust surface warn due to excessive external pressure.

            d.   All flat tappet cam failure due to improper break-in (see Technical Bulletin JGDRO – attached).  Keep documentation of

                   proper break-in for further reference if requested.

D.   Owner responsibilities:

      1.   Replace Water Pump, Belts, Hoses, and Hose Clamps.

      2.   Rod out Radiator.

      3.   Inspect and/or replace all gaskets and seals.

      4.   Install new Thermostat, Antifreeze, Oil, Oil Filter, and Timing Belt.

      5.   Inspect, test and/or replace tune-up parts and make necessary adjustments to meet original specifications.

      6.   Replace Oil and Oil Filter every 3000 miles or twice a year (whichever comes first).

      7.   Keep documentation of all repair and maintenance work done for further reference if requested.

      8.   1000 mile service must be recorded with Import Engine Supply, Inc. when completed.

E.   Labor is NOT covered as part of this standard contract.

      1.   Labor is covered for 30 days only if we were the original installers of the engine and only at our Boise, ID location.

            a.    Vehicle must be returned to our Boise, ID location for warranty services.

            b.    Used engine (as defined in A.1.a.) limited to terms of warranty.

            c.    Rebuilt engine (as defined in A.1.b.) limited to terms of warranty.

      2.   No allowance will be given for outside labor. No Exceptions.

F.   Any and all claims must be in writing.

      1.   Send with copy of dated invoice and proof of owner responsibilities to address on dated invoice.

G.   This warranty is extended to original purchaser only and is not transferable or assignable.

H.   Heat Tabs are installed on every engine.  Warranty is void if Heat Tab is melted or missing.

I.    Accurate mileage reading of vehicle, when motor was installed must be recorded with Import Engine supply, Inc. within 30 days.

I, the Purchaser, understand that this contract is the sole remedy offered with the sale of this engine.
